Not a Devil!

I am still just doodling around and today I kind of finalized a sketch from a Pan (also called Faun or Satyr). The first sketch reminded people of a devil, possibly because of the red colour. So I simply changed the colour, added textures and tried a different background.
Just really pointless stuff. I think I’ll don’t even use them for my stor… ahem Graphic Novel.

Personal Illustration

Right now I am attending an illustration course at Danmarks Designskole. In this course I have the chance to improve my personal illustration style. I’m really looking forward to the next 5 weeks. Not often do I get the chance to make illustrations for a school course back in germany. Lets see where this’ll get me. In the first week we have a workshop and already had 2 guest lecturers talking about their work as illustrators. Beginning next week we have to work on our own ideas and create a series of illustrations. I planned to create a small book with a narrative story, but the details are still not clear.
For todays task we had to randomly choose a pack of cards with images. With these images we have to come up with a small story that is 8 pages long and have to present it tomorrow in form of a small book.

Another piece, we in the One Week Studio , was just printed and published. We did the Book Cover for the book on Émile Zola, a biography written by Eric Danielsen.

So much to do, so much procrastinating. So I thought I could just post some old stuff. These are rejected ideas, which I think are still pretty nice to look at, at least.
